Our Second Home School Class
Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
Thanks to negotiations made by Mrs. Scheeler with West Chester Library,
they have kindly agreed to let us use their community room on a
weekly basis from now on. Switching to a weekly schedule
for our home schoolers was not a difficult decision to make, after
everyone involved had such a good time at our first class.
Fr. Ramolla has been working with some of the mothers to come up with a sound curriculum that takes into account the highly different needs and abilities of our varied age groups. We now have three different levels of catechism and Bible history classes, with an Introduction to Logic for the older children, and then Sacred Music for everybody after a light lunch prepared by the mothers. We currently have 28 children enrolled, with more expected next week.
Again, we thank all the mothers for helping to bring this about, as well as Father Ramolla and all the other teachers who have given their time to assist with this important venture in the life of our parish. Finally, our thanks to Mrs. Wnek for providing these pictures for our gallery.
